Tips on buying golf cars

Golf cars are a great way to get around the course. If you want to buy one, the first thing you need to decide is how much you want to spend.

Regardless of whether you are buying a new or used buggy, I would suggest electric and make sure its 48 volt model. New 48 volt batteries usually have a battery life of 4 years.

I would tend to look for a buggy with an alloy frame especially if you play near the ocean. When looking at metal framed second hand buggies, make sure you go over the frame very carefully. You would be amazed at how badly the steel frames can rust out.

To confirm the age of the vehicle look at the serial number - it usually has the year of manufacture incorporated in the number.

To check the age of batteries look on the battery and it will be stamped on the top.

Also get the vehicle checked by a qualified mechanic as the brakes, steering and universals can be badly worn.
